The ability to make decisions without full knowledge of the entire scenario, coupled with the conviction to delegate and approve projects for execution, is a task reserved for the owner, partner, or CEO; in other words, the principal leader of a company or business group.

It is the CEO who knows the right moment to decide, even amidst complexity, turbulence, challenging economic cycles, uncertainties, and even in times of prosperity.

The question is: how do you decide the future of a business and the many families that depend on it in uncertain scenarios while maintaining a stable position at all times?

Through my experience of over 25 years interacting with high-level leaders and successful entrepreneurs, I have observed three essential and common factors among them:

1. Self-Transformation
2. Connections: Deep, Genuine, and Trustworthy
3. Unwavering Discipline

1. Self-Transformation

The most important investment is in self-care. Leading oneself must precede leading others. Effectively managing your time, beyond business demands, includes the following practices in your daily routine on the path to self-transformation:

• Practicing spirituality to expand consciousness;
• Pursuing continuous learning;
• Maintaining discipline in health and engaging in enjoyable sports (not just trendy ones);
• Allowing time for leisure and fun;
• Working on self-awareness, self-confidence, and resilience.

2. Connections

Networking is often discussed, but these relationships need to be genuine and built on trust. Digital networking does not fall into this category.

Remote work, business meetings, and even board discussions via videoconferencing have diminished spontaneity and, often, the genuine way of relating to others.

Regarding the team, it is crucial to have moments that go beyond objective meetings (which should indeed be truly objective).

To build relationships with peers, whether within the same industry or across different sectors, informal environments also contribute to a more solid and trustworthy relationship. If your business is international or you plan to make it so, the level of relationship should be global.

It’s also important to highlight the relevance of connecting with a counselor or mentor. Lastly, but most importantly, is the relationship with family. Those at peace with themselves and their families tend to have greater emotional balance.

3. Unwavering Discipline

Discipline with oneself, with spirituality, with family and friends, with connections, and with business. All high-performing individuals exhibit discipline in making their desired outcomes a reality.To an outside observer, this may appear as stubbornness! They do not give up until they surpass their own goals and achievements.

No moment is easy for decision-making. No moment presents ideal circumstances for action. It is the leader who must always be more prepared, whether during periods of turbulence or calm!

Transform to Lead! Lead to Prosper!
